經過五個月的密集籌畫準備，由當代藝術界策展人、藝術家、藝評、文化工作者所獨立籌設成立的「台北當代藝術中心」正式宣告開幕!
座落於台北市中心西門町，兩百多坪的「台北當代藝術中心」是一個為期兩年的領航計畫， 初期營運經費來自四十餘位藝術家包括王俊傑、余政達、吳季璁、姚瑞中、洪東祿、涂維政、陳界仁、楊俊、崔廣宇、王志文、袁廣鳴、吳瑪俐、郭奕臣、吳達坤、林宏璋及林平等的捐贈作品義賣所得，開幕第一檔展覽將展出十七位藝術家的捐贈作品，四月後的第二檔展覽將展出二十多位藝術家的作品。
During its two-year pilot phase, Taipei Contemporary Art Center is located in Taipei’s Ximen district, in a 4-story building, total area around 250 pings. The initial funding for operation comes from the donated works by more than forty artists, including WANG Jun-jieh、WU Mali、HUNG Tung-lu、YU Chengta、TSUI Kuang-yu、Jun YANG、CHEN Chieh-jen、KUO I-chen、YAO Jui-Chung (姚瑞中)、WANG Wen-Chih (王文志)、WU Dar-Kuen (吳達坤)、Hongjohn LIN (林宏璋)、LIN Ping (林平) 、WU Chi-Tsung (吳季璁)、TU Wei-Cheng (涂維政)。The grand opening exhibition will show the works of 17 artists, and the second exhibition will show the rest of 20 artists in April, 2010.
