藝術家孫原、彭禹一直以來就以他們富有爭議性的裝置與觀唸作品而為人所熟知。其作品總能帶給觀眾新鮮，刺激的感覺，往往給人一種強烈的感官體驗，注重與觀眾發生互動，碰撞。
孫原/彭禹早期的裝置作品以「狠」著稱。他們頻頻使用挑戰大眾神經的材料：血、骨灰、屍體、人油等，進行藝術創作實驗。他們的創作並不為裝飾華美的玄幻的生活，而是給大眾以痛感，以藝術作品來刺激警醒在物質社會中昏昏欲睡的大眾，有著強烈的批判意識。
在近年的創作中，孫原、彭禹的作品在材料的選擇上，已經告別早期作品中慣用的血腥刺激性材料，在材料使用上更是信馬由韁，煙囪、掃帚、輪椅、高壓水龍頭……他們就像孩童一般，對所有的事物都保持著好奇，不因尋常經驗束縛自己，正因此，他們的創造力總是源源不斷，層出不窮。孫原/彭禹作品關注探討的問題，也從早期關注身體開始轉向更為寬廣的外部世界。
The artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu have been well known for their controversial installation and conceptual art works. Their works can always refresh and excite the audience , bringing thema strong sensual experience. They focus on the interaction and collision with the audience.
The early installation works of Sun Yuan/Peng Yu’s were famous for audacity. They continually used materials that rattle the audience’ nerves to conduct artistic experiments, such as blood, bone ash, corpses, human oil, etc. With an acute critical consciousness, their creation was not meant to decorate life with beauty and fancy, but to cause pain in people and to wake up those sleepy ones in the materialistic society.
In their recent works, they stop using the bloody and provocative materials. The selections of materials are freer and more various, such as chimneys, brooms, wheelchairs, water cannons…They are just like kids, maintaining curiosity about everything, and not being tied to ordinary experiences. In this way, their creativity is always endless. The focus of Sun Yuan/Peng Yu’s works has changed from human body in the early stage to the more spacious outside world. As a result, they ceaselessly come into contact with all kinds of people, such as doctors, scientists, peasants, firemen, and others, from whom their inspiration is obtained. They constantly break the world during continuous construction.

《搜街》雜誌主編及Arkitekt JH建築事務所（中國地區）創意顧問。曾任《生活》雜誌民藝編輯，其間參與「觀照——10個中國藝術家與他們的20歲（北京角度畫廊，2009年）策展。一直以來從事中國當代藝術家訪問工作，長期關注中國新農村現狀、閩南地區民間信仰等課題，並運用紙上媒介進行社會學實踐。
Wang Qi, the editor-in-chief of “SouJie」 (Street Peeping) magazine and the creative advisor of Arkitekt JH (China) will talk at TCAC this Tuesday! He was the editor of folk art in “Life” magazine and co-curated “Contemplation–10 Chinese Artists in their 20s” (Beijing Angle Modern Art, 2009). He has been engaged in visiting Chinese contemporary artists and concerned about the status quo of Chinese new countryside and the issues of folk beliefs in Minnan area. He uses paper as a medium to do social practice.
