移動城市工作坊：公開徵集參與者

移動城市是一為期兩天的工作坊，將以嶄新的藝術策略探討與反映身體與城市空間關係。藝術家梟笑和冷月以分析城市規劃、通勤、交通狀況與穿過這些空間的身體之間的關聯性為起點，希望與來自不同空間感、學科背景的參與者共同激盪。每位參與者會表演並成為城市空間的具體化身。此工作坊以兩位藝術家使用我們所在城市的抽象化計畫為基礎概念，進而討論主體性、社會及空間。「城市姿態」不僅討論、分析移動對城市空間造成的影響，還將其反饋且幫助加深對我們的城市的了解。
此工作坊以Teleport（冷月與梟笑）在2018年於北京發表的作品為基礎，即一個使用北京地鐵地圖作為背景的體操系統，讓參與者透過整合中國首都的基礎建設，「建築化」自己的身體。這些參與其中的身體不僅用嚴謹客觀的計畫來探索活動，也明確呈現有關社交、經濟與政治架構的資訊在個體上發生的主觀詮釋。對城市想像顯示我們的身體如何承載著城市空間。社會中互動頻繁的各種姿態的不僅揭露既有的生活空間，更創造從由家至職場的移動路徑。這些通勤轉換的串流將成為思考大城市中移動的身體與經濟的基礎。本次工作坊將從台北的城市規劃展開。
申請資格：
設計師、建築師、藝術家、表演藝術家、舞者，喜歡探索空間與身體的創意家。此工作坊將提供一個使參與者以身體與城市的概念重新思考自己過往的實踐的機會。
由於參與人數踴躍，因此提前截止報名。成功報名者將於9.23號收到通知。

土行孫（Teleport）
這個藝術組合在2017建立。冷月與梟笑的工作涉及攝影、表演、裝置藝術、舞台設計和繪畫。藉由他們的行為去探索身體與空間之間的關係。透過拼貼式的日常敘述，將我們的城市生活環境轉化成身歷其境的體驗。作為一個藝術家組合，他們在Mutual Art Lab, Beijing, ii space 和 I: project space有展出。
I: project space
I: project space 是當代藝術機構可能性的一種拓展，藉由一個獨立實踐伴隨的自由實現。最終，它匯集了Antonie Angerer和Anna-Viktoria Eschbach的策展、研究、出版活動。著重於開放式對話，I: project space旨在促進實驗、合作和跨學科的交流。他們的研究也出現在一些機構的場外項目中，包括寺上美術館（北京）、中央美術學院美術館（北京）、尤倫斯當代藝術中心（北京）、Kunsthalle Baden-Baden （巴登—巴登）、basis （法蘭克福） & spaces such as Loris （柏林）, On Screen Today （紐約）, 4A Contemporary （雪梨） and Swimming Pool (索非亞)
北京22
北京22是一個開放獨立的長期策展項目，將致力於探究北京從現在起到2022年冬季奧運之間的五年發生的城市變遷。在這段期間裡，北京22項目將以展覽、出版物、對談、會議等各種活動形式呈現，並收集展示國內外藝術家、策展人與學者的多樣觀點與視角。
北京22的核心元素在於建立一個藝術與科學對話的線上論壇，和一個伴隨城市變遷的公共檔案，以一種並行和生產論述的方式。捕捉和整理城市、文化政策，北京的意象和個體的視角及見證，同時回應近代歷史上最大規模的城市變遷之一。這些材料幫助我們理解和反思城市的變化，並將其置於各種不同專業領域的文獻中，如藝術、建築、城市規劃、社會學、哲學、新聞、心理等。
台北當代藝術中心

OPEN CALL for Participants, Workshop: Moving Cities

The 2-day workshop will reflect on new artistic strategies to explore the relationship between body and urban space. Together with participants from different spatial disciplines, the two artists Xiaoxiao and Lengyue will analyze, how city planning, commuting, traffic and the body moving through these spaces are interrelated. Each participant will perform and become an embodiment of the urban space. The workshop is based on the concept developed by the two artists using the abstracted plans of our cities to talk about subject, society and space. “City Moves“ will not only discuss and analyze the impact of urban space through movement, but will reflect it back into the city and help us understand our cities better.
The workshop is based on a work that Teleport, Lengyue and Xiaoxiao, developed in 2018 in Beijing. It is a gymnastic system based on Beijing’s subway map, that offer the participant to “architecturalize” their bodies, by incorporating the infrastructure planning of China’s capital. Not only do the bodies explore movement based on a strictly objective plan but make apparent how a subjective interpretation of this plan, can give us information on social, economic and political structures and their influence on the individual. The incorporating of the imagination of the city demonstrates that our bodies carry our urban space. The socially active positioning uncovers, how city planning is not only creating fixed spaces of living, but furthermore vessels of movements from home to work. These commuting streams will become the basis to think about moving bodies and economies in major cities. The workshop in Taipei will be developed on the urban planning of Taipei city.
Who can apply?
Designer, architects, artists, performance artists, dancers, creatives working around the ideas of space and body. This workshop should create an opportunity to rethink their own practice under the ideas of body and city.
We are no longer accept applicants due to the amount of submissions. Successful registration will be notified on Sep. 23.
About the artists and organizers:
Teleport
The art collective was founded in 2017. Leng Yue and Xiaoxiao work with photography, performance, installations, scenography, and painting. Their practice explores the relationship between body and space. Through a collage-like narrative daily surroundings of our urban existence are being translated into immersive experiences. As collective they have exhibited at Mutual Art Lab, Beijing, ii space and I: project space.
I: project space
I: project space is an augmentation of what a contemporary art institution can be, by using the freedom that comes along with running an independent practice. Ultimately, it brings together Antonie Angerer’s & Anna-Viktoria Eschbach’s curatorial, research and publishing activities. By placing emphasis on the open dialogues, I: project space looks to foster experimentation, collaboration and inter-disciplinary exchange.
Their research also emerges within offsite projects at institutions including Si Shang Art Museum (Beijing), CAFAM (Beijing), UCCA (Beijing), Kunsthalle Baden-Baden (Baden-Baden), basis (Frankfurt) & spaces such as Loris (Berlin), On Screen Today (New York), 4A Contemporary (Sydney) and Swimming Pool (Sofia).
Beijing22
Beijing22 is an open, independent, long-term curatorial project, which will investigate the dynamics of Beijing’s urban space in the five years preceding the Olympic Games in 2022. Over this timespan, Beijing22 manifests itself in exhibitions, publications, talks, conferences and other activities, thereby archiving the various perspectives of artists, curators, academics and journalists from China and abroad.
The core element of Beijing22 is an online forum for artistic and scientific positions and a publicly accessible archive accompanying urban changes in a parallel and discursive manner. The city, cultural policies, the image of Beijing and individual perspectives and testimonies are captured and curated in response to one of the greatest urban developments in recent history. The material helps us to comprehend and reflect on the changing city and contextualize it with references from a variety of disciplines such as art, architecture, city planning, sociology, philosophy, journalism, psychology etc.
Taipei Contemporary Art Center
Founded in February 2010, Taipei Contemporary Art Center (TCAC) is an independent art space established by Taiwanese artists, curators, critics, writers, scholars and cultural researchers. TCAC aims to provide an open platform to present, exchange, create and share. As an organization, it embraces aesthetic expressions, which test institutional conditions and values beyond market forces and individualism.
The core value and mission of TCAC is to create critical public sphere, promote international exchange and provide diverse art experiment possibilities and learning programs. TCAC investigates the practice of conceptual institution and organization through reflecting the critical paradigms of the cultural environment, and respond to the needs and desires of the local community to explore cross field and cross cultural exchanges.
Since 2010, TCAC has organized more than 500 events, featuring various exhibitions, forums, talks, workshops, performances.
