∞ 交易地帶 III ∞ 機構內的影像 — 新加坡國家美術館
策展人 Sam I-shan, Silke Schmickl 與蘇珀琪與徐詩雨座談

新加坡國家美術館策展人 Sam I-shan 與 Silke Schmickl 將在本次座談中呈現新加坡國家美術館動態影像的節目策劃研究以及該媒材相關的展覽研究單位。當中會介紹去年舉行的電影演討會《移轉中的地下：東亞與東南亞》（Shifting Undergrounds in East and Southeast Asia），以及與美術館資源中心合作的一個新研究平台。
第二部分則由TCAC策展人徐詩雨主持，邀請鳳甲美術館館長蘇珀琪一同介紹兩機構合作的錄像資料庫的歷史與近年的策劃，並且共同討論台星兩地藝術機構與影像藝術資料庫的現況。

∞ 交易地帶 III ∞ ：以空間交換時間
TCAC 2019 年將以「交易地帶」（Trading Zone）串連點狀活動，試圖在挖掘不定期與偶發的點狀活動中蘊含著隱而未現的關聯。引用自科學哲學家彼得‧加里森（Peter Galison）提出的「交易地帶」，該理論提出不同領域的人在進行知識交換時，如同說著不同語言的人在進行貿易行為。而「交易地帶」則是不同領域的人達到區域性協調的地帶。這不單是空間指向的概念，也是知識在局部領域內得以交換與各取所需的象徵。
第三回合的交換，我們以空間換取時間作為隱喻。「空間換取時間」是二戰時期的政治宣傳，同時也暗示著東亞與東南亞歷史受到二戰與冷戰延續下來的地緣政治劇烈影響。另一方面，空間╱時間也是動態影像永恆叩問的命題。

Curators Sam I-shan and Silke Schmickl from National Gallery Singapore will speak about moving image programming, research and exhibition-related initiatives at their museum, including the Shifting Undergrounds in East and Southeast Asia film seminar, and a new research platform developed in collaboration with the Gallery’s Resource Centre.
The second part of the event will be hosted by TCAC curator Shih-yu Hsu. Together with Frankie Su from Hong-gah Museum, the history and the recent programming of the TCAC Video Lounge and Hong-Gah TIVA video art archive will be presented. The four speakers will also touch on current developments related to art and the moving image in institutions in both Taiwan and Singapore.

Trading Zone 3: Trading Space with Time
In 2019, TCAC will connect the happenings with the thematic idea “trading zone,” uncovering the hidden interdependence in between. Proposed by scholar Peter Galison, trading zone is often to denote the new language that is formed in the expertises among different disciplines. It is not only a metaphor for a physical space, but also how and where the knowledge to exchange and be built among different disciplines and practices.
In the third exchange in Trading Zone, we use “trading space for time” as a metaphor. This famous propaganda in the Second Sino-Japanese War is also an allegory for complexities that continue to the cold war of the geo-politics and the history of East and South East Asia. On the other hand, space and time are the themes that moving-image has never ended to quest.
