第一場 Part 1：

對當代藝術稍微有點了解的人,都知道Duchamp[下樓梯的裸女]這件作品.但是:為什麼[下樓梯]這件事對杜象這麼重要.[下樓梯]竟然成為一件舉世知名的作品的主題.星期五就從[下樓梯]出發.透過揭露[下樓梯]賴以出現的媒體背景.進一步深入當代媒體藝術一些歷史橋段.進而窺視當今德國媒體藝術研究的概況.讓我們一起[下樓梯]吧！
Anyone somehow familiar with contemporary art knows Duchamp’s work “Nude descending a staircase”. Why is “descending a staircase” so important to Duschamp? Why has this event become a well-known subject of art? This talk will start with the Duchamp work and explore the media situation in which “Descending” emerged and some historical expeditions of media art. It ends with a brief introduction to media art studies in Germany. Let’s descend the staircase!

哥倫比亞聲音藝術家 FAO （目前住在台北）結合古琴 (Guqin), Tabla, Mouth-harp, Djembé, kalimba, Digeeridoo, 與空手和物件打擊，將首次在藝術中心演出。FAO將表演他所創作的電子音樂以及西藏唱缽,也會混音其他藝術家的的實驗-噪音音樂，最後將會混音一些dub-electronic beat-oriented音樂讓大家放鬆享受台北當代藝術中心頂樓的露天夜晚。
Based in Taipei, the Columbian sound artist FAO (Fabian Torres) whose work combines Guqin, Tabla, Mouth-harp, Djemb, kalimba, Digeeridoo, Hand percussions or other objects, will present his first performance at TCAC.
Fao will play some of his electronic music and singing bowls and will also mix some music from others experimental-noise artists. And later, he will mix some more dub-electronic beat-oriented music to enjoy.”
