開幕活動＋藝術錄像特映會：2015年 8月28日（五），下午7－9時

《一日黑話書店》是ㄧ間非常態性的Pop-up Shop, 專門販售國際藝術出版品，由策展人Kit Hammonds策劃每一檔書店開幕的主題書選。
第一檔《一日黑話書店》主題書選所帶來的藝術家印物以及雜誌皆精選自活躍於歐美的出版社，而其書選的範疇則特別聚焦於對實驗性當代藝術書寫有所探討與涉獵的出版印物。此外，開幕當晚將呈現藝術家雞尾酒特調、選讀朗誦以及藝術錄像特映。
繼《出版即被詛咒》於2014年畫下休止符後，Kit Hammonds發起新藝術組織《黑話》，發展出版與發行項目。《出版即被詛咒》為Kit Hammonds與Emily Pethick所發起的一個集結組織平台，藉由策辦書展、展覽、活動以及行動公共圖書館以推廣藝術家印物。2004至2014年間《出版即被詛咒》已於倫敦各處舉辦多次書展，並於歐美超過十五處公共或獨立空間中作策劃與發表。於2014年《黑話》同時與《Pa/per View》（比利時的書展）以及《Casa Bosques》（墨西哥城的書店）共組一項新計畫《 :ndex Art Book Fair》, 而其下一檔書展將於2016年墨西哥城舉辦。《一日黑話書店》藉由國際串連將為在地藝術脈絡注入多樣化的跨域出版品。

Kit Hammonds是一位英國策展人，現於台北駐地研究。身為一位獨立策展人Hammonds近期的展覽包括2015年於香港馬凌畫廊的《財務報表》，參加2014年北京中央美術學院美術館第二屆雙年展策展團隊並策劃項目展覽《no puppet is dumber than its puppeteer》。Hammonds的實驗性策展包含了他參展於2015年鳳甲美術館展覽《氣候幻象》以及分別於2014年及2013年駐村於台北當代藝術中心。
Hammonds目前為臺灣獎助金進行「台灣獨立藝術空間之構成」的駐地研究，自2007至2015年間為任教於英國倫敦皇家藝術學院當代策展學系的資深教授，自2002至2007為南倫敦畫廊策展人。

The One Day Vernacular Bookstore is an irregular ‘pop-up’ shop selling a selection of international art publications. Each bookstore features titles curated by Kit Hammonds around a specific theme or topic.
The first One Day Vernacular Bookstore brings key publishers of artists’ books and journals from art publishers from Europe and the Americas, particularly those exploring new art writing. It will be launched with a evening of drinks drawn from artists’ cocktail recipes alongside a programme of readings and screenings of related artists’ videos.
Vernacular is a new organisation related to publishing and distribution initiated by Kit Hammonds following the death of Publish and Be Damned in 2014. Publish and be Damned was established by Kit Hammonds and Emily Pethick as a collectively organised platform promoting artist-led publishing through fairs, exhibitions, events and a traveling public library. Fairs took place in London from 2004-2014 at various locations, and PABD projects were staged in more than 15 public and independent spaces in Europe and the Americas. In 2014 Vernacular was founded and joined Pa/per View (Brussels) and Casa Bosques (Mexico City) to establish a new project :ndex Art Book Fair. The next :ndex will take place in Mexico City in 2016. The One Day Vernacular Bookstore draws on these networks to bring publishing from different regions into local art contexts.

Kit Hammonds is a curator from the UK, currently based in Taipei. As an independent curator he most recently curated ‘Balance Sheets’, 2015 at the Edouard Malingue gallery, Hong Kong and was on the curatorial team of the second CAFA museum biennale, Beijing, 2014 with the section ‘no puppet is dumber than its puppeteer’. His practice includes experimental forms of curating Including his participation in ‘A climate fictionalism’, Hong Gah museum, 2015, and residencies at TCAC in 2013 and 2014.
Hammonds is currently a Taiwan Fellow researching ‘The constitution of independent art spaces in Taiwan’. From 2007-2015 he was Senior Tutor/Tutor in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art. From 2002-2007 he was a curator at the South London Gallery.
