The 9th Urban Nomad Film Fest features 50 short films and 9 long films broadcasted by turns in. The activity along with music shows and forums begins from April 30 at Huashan Creative Park, Taipei Artist Village, and Taipei Contemporary Art Center.

Special Section: Presented are the 2008~2009 “Transonic” documentary film recommended by artist Fu Jui Wang and an amazing experimental short film from Youtube, which is searched and recommended by artist Chun Hui Wu
The video art exhibition of TCAC is a whole new program in the Urban Nomad Film Fest. The film fest curator David Frazier and independent curator Meiya Cheng cooperate in choosing eight works out of 200 and so competition short films. The chosen films are exhibited at TCAC for two weeks. In“Wałbrzych note” ,italian artist Stefano Giannotti used poetic hand to document a downfallen coal mine town in Poland. Using duplicate painting“ Artists”from China Da Fen Oil Painting Village, the Dutch artist Sascha Pohle presented film text in which the awkward, ridiculous performing styles project the gap between the art production aura built by mass media and the artificial duplicating art production in real life.
The exhibition presents simultaneously the “special section”chosen film program by Fu Jui Wang and Chun Hui Wu. The content of“Transonic”on the spot documentary film recommended by Fu Jui Wang includes the performance record of the most spirited contemporary sound-image composers in Taiwan. Besides, artist Chun Hui Wu chooses three experimental works from global video share platform for video exhibition at the same time.
